Help When and Where You Need It

More than 250,000 one-on-one online tutoring sessions have been delivered to Louisiana’s residents since May 2010. HomeworkLouisiana is available to any Louisiana resident from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays. Tutoring is available for kindergarten through basic college level and includes GED prep.

Louisiana has a literacy rate and has a high number of households without an adult with a high school diploma or GED, and children in this environment may have limited homework help tools available. HomeworkLouisiana can help as the service is available from home or from the public library.

The most popular subject for tutoring help is math. Comments from satisfied users include: “If it was not for you I would not do well. I’m A/B honor roll.” and “My tutor was awesome! She didn't just give me answers; she helped me to understand. I'll definitely be coming back on!”

We have advertised this service to school superintendents statewide and through local newspapers. Additional marketing materials can be requested from the State Library.

This service also offers resume preparation and interview practice. This service is available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays. A Skills Center of online educational materials is available at all times. To access HomeworkLouisiana go to homeworkla.org.
