The Louisiana Digital Library

The Louisiana Digital Library is an online library containing photographs, maps, manuscripts, books, oral histories and other materials that document history and culture. Libraries, museums, archives, historical groups and other institutions throughout the state contribute materials to the LDL. This statewide digital library is available to anyone with Internet access.
More than 20 libraries, archives, museums and historical centers have contributed images with descriptive text to the LDL. Some collections, such as the GUMBO Project and the Teaching History in Louisiana Project, are collaborative projects including materials from multiple institutions.
