The State Library of Louisiana Changes Hours and Days of Operation

Due to budget cuts, beginning July 1, 2011, the State Library’s new days and hours of operations to walk in patrons are Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The State Library will still answer emails and telephone calls on Fridays, however. The State Library takes this action to ensure that despite issues arising from budget cuts, such as severe staff shortage, we maintain the best possible service to all of our patrons.
