Description: The web session will focus on the process for gathering the statistics, the definition of the items, and what happens after the State Library gathers them. There will be a brief discussion and demonstration of the federal sites comparative statistics features, and suggestions about how to best present statistics.

Interlibrary Loan Workshop
Description: This hands-on ILL session will address LoanSHARK issues beyond the basics, including what to do with items in the not received, recalled, unfilled, conditional, retry, expired, cancelled and lost status. This is the perfect session for those libraries needing to “clean up” in LoanSHARK. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences with the group.

Spring Administrative Librarians’ Conference (Tentative)
Description: A forum to explore solutions to problems in Louisiana public library management.

Staff Day 2011
Description: This event will combine various training and user group sessions with the opportunity for staffs across Louisiana to network, share, and learn.  Note that the purpose is to bring together front-line staff in reference, ILL, technical services, and computer services. New this year will be several sessions for public library staff working with teens and children.

Supervision and Management (LSSCP)
Description: This is part of the ALA-APA Library Support Staff Certification Program.  This course will focus on supervision and management themes including personnel employment laws, staff development planning, policies and procedures, short and long-range planning, managing interpersonal relationships, staff evaluation, basic marketing concepts, budgeting and team building.  There will be assignments and opportunities for interaction both in person and online.
