Noted Louisiana  photographer donates images to State Library

Lee Estes, noted Louisiana photographer and resident of Monroe, donated photographs of North Louisiana to the State Library. In the near future, these images will be added to the Louisiana Digital Library. Mr. Estes has been photographing Louisiana and the world for more than 65 years. He began his career during World War II when he served overseas. The photographer has had more than forty exhibitions of his photographs including the Old State Capitol, the International Photography Hall of Fame and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was awarded the Artist of the Year, Northeast Louisiana in 1999. He has presented talks on photography, authored books and articles, and has travelled the world.
