2017 Children's Summer Reading Program
The 2017 Children's Summer Reading Program slogan is, Build a Better World, and will be offered by public libraries throughout the state.  Children participating in the summer reading program may participate by reading books throughout the summer and attending library programs. The goal is to foster self-confidence and create lifelong readers. Families are encouraged to check with their local public library to learn about the specific incentives and programs available in their community. The 2017 children’s artwork was created by author and Illustrator David Macmaulay.
Upcoming Slogans and Themes:
The 2018 theme is music with the slogan Libraries Rock!.
The 2019 theme is space with the slogan Universe of Stories.
The 2020 theme will be fairytales, mythology and fantasy.
