Bossier Parish Public Library, Benton Branch seeks Branch Manager. Duties include but are not limited to: day-to-day operations of the Benton Branch which includes being responsible for staff, giving full attention to the task of public service, collection development, marketing the library’s services to the Benton community, handling routine maintenance/repair needs for branch and participating in continuing education activities; must adhere to mission, policies and plans of Library Board.  The Benton Branch Manager supervises 5 employees (2 part-time, 3 full-time) and works closely and in full cooperation with other Branch Managers and for Administration.   

Required Qualifications:  A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school.  Specialized experience that demonstrates knowledge of literature, public relations, and outreach services in a public library, education or public sector setting. Applicants must present a combination of experience, education, skills, and self-development, which demonstrates the capacity to perform the duties of the position.  Documented experience and references showing capability to fulfill job description, record of establishing strong, supportive, cooperative relationships and positive communication with coworkers and supervisors in a collaborative, cooperative work setting.  Documented record of confidentially in work, personnel, and business matters.  Pre-employment drug screening.  

Pay and Benefits:  Between $38,000-41,000, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, professional education allowance.
