Librarian III

The position of Librarian III is a professional level position that performs specialized library work requiring the independent application of professional library techniques and procedures in serving as a cluster manager, responsible for all facets of operations for assigned branch libraries. The minimum requirements for this position are a Master's degree in Library Science from an institution accredited by the American Library Association; plus three (3) years of professional librarian paid work experience. Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are also required. SUBSTITUTION: Three (3) years of paraprofessional library experience can be substituted for one (1) year of the required professional library experience.
For the current vacancy it is preferred that an applicant have a minimum of two (2) years of professional librarian experience in public libraries and one (1) year of experience as a regional library or branch library manager within the last five (5) years. Bilingual written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English are also preferred.

The minimum requirements for this position are a Master's degree in Library Science from an institution accredited by the American Library Association; plus, four (4) years of professional librarian paid work experience, including one (1) year of that experience at a supervisory level. Possession of a current valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are also required.
