State Library of Louisiana

The State Library provides special services to a number of populations.  The Talking Books and Braille Library provides talking books, Braille and large print materials to those who have difficulty reading standard print or holding a book.  Materials from the collections of the State Library are available for borrowing by residents of Louisiana state correctional facilities by contacting our interlibrary loan department.

The State Library also sponsors a number of statewide programs for children such as the annual Summer Reading Program and Louisiana Young Readers Choice Awards.
