LALIBCON Classes Spring 2010
The State Library licenses more than 50 databases for state employees that can be used to search current and historical information in a variety of newspapers, journals and electronic books and web sites. These two-hour overviews of the databases include:
• Introduction to the databases;
• Effective searching techniques;
• Cross-database searching;
• Searching for articles in periodicals; and
• Searching for newspaper articles.

Remote Classes
Alternatively, the State Library staff can come to your locations and offer classes for state employees. A computer lab with Internet access is required for the classes. |
