LALIBCON Classes Spring 2010 The State Library licenses more than 50 databases for state employees that can be used to search current and historical information in a variety of newspapers, journals and electronic books and web sites. These two-hour overviews of the databases include:
• Introduction to the databases; • Effective searching techniques; • Cross-database searching; • Searching for articles in periodicals; and • Searching for newspaper articles.

Time: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Location: State Library, second floor computer lab Attendance is limited to nine participants per session.

Remote Classes Alternatively, the State Library staff can come to your locations and offer classes for state employees. A computer lab with Internet access is required for the classes. |
